My tech bag has helped me capture some awesome photos as I walked through cities like #Barcelona, #Cancun, Athens, and Washington, DC. While I am an amateur photographer, I still have photo goals. In today’s world, it’s pretty easy to become a gadget junkie and remain an efficient packer. So for me, at the end of each trip, I take inventory of my experiences to include how my gadgets served me. Once I returned from one trip, I realized that if I had a lanyard for my GoPro camera, I could be hands-free. It would be easier to get shots quickly and creatively if I had a selfie stick that converted to a tripod, especially on solo trips.
I am not a “minimalist” packer. However, it is a goal. It will be less stuff to be concerned about, and I can enjoy my #trip even more. It is more cost-efficient, and I do not have to wait at the carousel for my luggage. It makes a difference in having the proper equipment to freeze moments like facial expressions after arriving 1,063 feet in the air at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. This shot was made possible due to the smartphone wide lens attachment. Or returning from a trip and going through photos and noticing that you are not in most of them. For example, I could not imagine not freezing that moment of walking, touching, and being in the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble - Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, Greece.
I am sure you will find some benefit from this list of useful tech gear that has helped me through my travels. What we pack in our technology bag is subjective and dependent on your destination. However, in my opinion, we must pack carefully and efficiently. Decrease the opportunity for stolen devices and bringing cameras, tablets, computers, portable batteries, and whatnot should be restricted to match your vacation and pack your most essential gears.
